Well if you follow the chronological order of series of events based on newspaper editorials, Miss Reid bases her opinions or views, from those articles. I guess you can say since she started her program, quiet possibly she may think the average person doesn't know how to read. Think she would have been better off being a school teacher and correct grammar.
