Worse than Megamind 2. Now that's really setting a record. Now, I am a person who usually isn't held back by nostalgia, and although the newer Spongebob episodes haven't been the best, the movies always surprise me. This... was... I don't even know. Terrible animation, terrible acting, terrible plot, terrible everything. The concept of Bikini Bottom being taken by a company is a good concept, but they could not have executed this concept any poorly then they did. The live action actors looked so done with life. Plankton barely even made an appearance. Sandy's family were so annoying, the only tolerable one was Randy, but then they had to make him into the guy that stole acorns and got the police chasing after them. Ma also implied that it was Sandy's duty to take over the circus, and that she has to stay in Texas, which opened up the door for character development. The studio executives saw that, and slammed the door shut. But you know what they say, "When God closes a door, he opens a win-" While you were reading that, the studio executives armed the window with the entire U.S. military budget. So that's where all the movie budget went, making sure no character development could happen... Where was I going with this? Oh yeah, the movie. Garbage. As a long time Spongebob fan, I am disgusted by this poor excuse of a film. No, I take that back. It's an insult to call this a film. I want that hour and 26 minutes of my life back.
