This book is one that will at once, intrigue, irritate and inspire you. The shunya of it all will manifest itself through a myriad of ways. Some will make sense, some will seem a flight of fantasy and some others will seem like completely crazy. Why it will certainly do is to make you pause, ponder and for some of us pontificate too. The manner of writing is very conversational, the mileu is rural and semi urban kerala of the mid 70’s or the 80’s but the stories in themselves are universal. The questions they throw up and the abruptness of its end etc is exactly how life meanders and ends. All in all this is a profound book which encapsulates the magnanimity of nothingness.

Good movie- right from the get go feels like a typical happy ending kind of a movie. The subject matter is very serious and has been dealt with in a very fair manner. However the movie has glossed over a lot of characters in the quest to cram needless streams (for example the role and character of Robindro is very very half baked, the daughter (Mithila Palkar's character) is surprisingly well adjusted and sorted for someone from such a broken family no back story has been shared. The main character the biographer's role and reason to exist is also not explored. All in all it seems like a good script and story crammed in to fit the typical Hindi film mould.
