This film is an underrated film! Spoiler - Its V Graphic in its depictions of violence and disaster! The camera work, the taut pacing, the performances! I could go on, but this film is perfect thriller/ action material. All the actors deserve credit for being top of their respective game! The Eastern actors deserve credit for their brilliant Westernised portrayal! Plane is a great action thriller that is grounded in logical cinematic reasoning - sounds bonkers but when the hero solves stuff without maximum firepower, it's notable. Gerard Butler just makes any premise work! His no nonsense portrayal of a commercial pilot who has the worst floght of his life is great! This film is great for a prime movie - you dont care Butler's accent slips from time to time (They even explain it in backstory as a scottish spec ops retiree) - the portrayal is convincing, even in the highly contrived plot - this is a WORTHY film - very entrrtaining , and zips along at a good pace with great performances from a stellar cast - PRIME please make more of these well constructed films that can be fimed in 3 months for 20 Mill - its a format that'll just keep on giving!

IGNORE THE 20 ODD % from rotten tomatoes - this film is so bad its awesome and all the actors on board the film and boat lean into it with gusto! It's pretty well executed and really shot well. Put your brain in neutral and just be entertained ! Every kind of trope/trope scenario is explored! The effects arent bad but they're not excellent either. If you watch this you wont feel the need to demand the time back! As Ever Nic Cage Entertains Effortlessly! Its a good Sunday watch!

I cannot believe the low reviews this has been given. Its an absolute classic! For people complaining about the accents - Have you met any Germans? They often speak perfect English putting English counterparts to shame. The plot is fantastical - germans are trying to assinate Churchill. Its a fantastic film - ignorge the naysayers and the obvious comic book guy basement dwelling Internet critics. Its not going change your life but it is a great hour and a half action romp. Someone mentioned Donald Sutherland being a Nazi - WRONG! He plays an Irishman who is aiding the Germans for weapons, money etc so he can fight the British. Some of the negative reviews annoyed me that much I had to write this. If you like your old school war films with a twist, give this a go!
