I am so glad to see that I am not the only one who feel this way. This movie was way too overhyped.
I have fine taste of movies and when I see one masterpiece I just know it's gonna be a bomb.
CLEARNING OUT THAT I AM NOT A WHITE PEROSN AND THIS REVIEW IS NOTHING OTHER THAN MY PERSONAL VIEW AND JUST TRUTH.
I believe the hype for the movie has 2 big reason.
Michael B. Jordon
A story showing Black speculative fiction. We don't get that a lot.
*THEATRE EXPIERENCE*
My gf and I went to watch the movie and our experience was too bad. My gf just slept in the first 30 min of a movie it was that boring for her.
The majority public in the theater were black which should be I mean, if I had a movie from my culture I assume it to be filled with people alike my background.
But the public we had omg! truly dumb. They made dumb comments, screams and noises on every sexual scene in the movie like "ONCE YOU GO BLACK, YOU DON'T GO BACK" but you need to keep in mind that there are other elderly different cultural people watching this movie too. I started to loose the interest and immediately regretted the decision to watch this movie.
*MOVIE REVIEW*
I think the movie itself felt very incomplete, you get the narration of the horror stuff in the beginning but then they suddenly appear out of nowhere in the movie. I mean how? They failed to engage the audience especially when the movie show's another culture.
1.5 hour of movie was useless, it did not at all relate to the ending. It felt like watching useless frames and listening to crap dialogues. The ending was not something that folds an intention climax. I have definitely watched some better climaxes and actions than that of Sinners! in the same genre.
The major likes and reviews on IMDB this movie has is from only one community.
My rating is 5/10 for this movie!
