In my opinion, this movie could have been better if they sticked with the original concept and kept their deleted scenes which were better than the movie itself, I even left the movie theater hoping for so much more. “Everyone’s wishes should be granted” Why would they leave such a pathetic message like that, of course not everybody has to have their wish granted because somebody’s wish could be a bad thing. The king didn’t even deserve that terrible fate like you can tell that he did everything to protect his people, and then opening a book just magically makes him evil felt very random and didn’t make sense at all, and we barely know anything about the Asha throughout the movie and the character developments felt weak like we don’t see her have a relationship with her Saba or her friends before the problem started just like Belle and her dad do and the other Disney films before this garbage was released into theaters. And the songs weren’t that memorable enough, but Ariana Debose and Chris Pine sang “At All Costs” very well and that’s the song that was originally going to be sang with star boy instead of Magnifico. Screw Disney for scrapping something that really would’ve been amazing for the 100 years of Disney, even people on the internet have better ideas and art of the original concept. I really hope Disney learned their lesson about this movie that bombed at the box office because people would actually pay for good movies, so make good movies Disney if you want to start going uphill again just like in your modern days when you would make amazing and inspiring stories like The Beauty And The Beast, Tangled, and more.
