Another clear example of why movie critics are overrated. I re-watched this movie on Dvd recently. Jennifer Gardner delivers a more than worthy betrayal of Elektra. Her physical presence and winning smile, along with her sexy red costume sizzle to light up the screen. Kristen Prout (Abby) delivers a strong performance as well. Christopher Ackermans character "Tattoo" is portrayed using spellbinding graphics, that quite frankly, left me in awe. Will Yun Lee (Kirigi) has some of the coolest action scenes. He's a menacing, powerful nemesis. His martial art skills are on full display, along with visual graphics to be praised. This film offers uniquely stylised scenes that are visually beautiful and highly ceative. The overall theme is admittedly predictable. None-the-less, it holds up as a story of revenge, redemption, and Elektra's deep desire to regain her lost humanity. It's a highly underated, visual delight. The actual plot can be a challenge to follow, due to it's many expressions of magical and mystical powers on display. That being said, it's definitely worth the journey. By keeping an open mind, this gem of a movie will easily win you over. If that isn't enough, Jennifer's sexy, sultry looks and impressive fight moves are sure to satisfy any watcher. Critics be damned, this is a action packed, sci-fy film that delivers. It's an excellent spin-off from the Marvels movie "Daredevil", starring Ben Affleck, FYI: I hear tell Jennifer has reprised her role in the newly released "Deadpool & Wolverine" movie.

Star Trek: Voyager is my second favorite of the Star Trek series, behind Star Trek: Next Generation. I like the idea that there is a woman captain. The doctor portrayed as a hologram was an interesting concept and holds up well. The episodes which include the borg are steller. Though the series is limited by the ship being cast into the Delta Quadrant, the writers still did a good job of suppling intriguing episodes. Of course the inclusion of 7of 9 and her skin tight outfits was more than welcome. In my opinion, she still doesn't rate higher than Tapal, as the overall sexiest ST bombshell. But 7 of 9's character did provide a certain element of danger, and covered a whole host of ethics and morals involved with her transition. Even though the concept of chosing to combine crews with the Maquis in order to survive was extremely improbable, it did offer another dimension with which to draw from. Tim Russells portrayal of Tuvak was an excellent example of acting. The final episodes could have been better written, and left a feeling of being rushed. Overall I greatly enjoyed this series. Besides a few weakly written episodes, it was highly entertaining and worthy of its franchise history. I purchased the complete series on DVD, and recommend any fan of Sci-fi ti give it a look.

Plenty of action, explosions, and suspense. A predictable plot, with above average performances. Back water town filled with hauntingly hateful folks that let their ignorance perpetuate feuding mentality to the extent all hell breaks loose. Worth watching, especially if you're a Jason Staham fan.

Another 90 mins of my life I immediately learned to regret wasting on a film with a ridiculous title. I rooted for Sam's performance to assist me in an effort to find a worthy message. To my dismay, not even he could overcome such an absurdly disconnected story. I tried to keep an open mind in its obvious attempt to express symbolic notions, shrouded by the regrets felt in a mans twilight years. Ultimately, it failed to deliver. If you're the sort of viewer that tends to agree with the movie critics, then by all means, watch it. If you're the sort of viewer that dislikes when a movie ends with you wondering why they would ever bother to tell its story to begin with, then SKIP IT!

I ROBOT: (9/10) A must see sci-fi winner! Entertaining, superb visuals, hauntingly believable, stylish effects, with thrilling plot twists. Jessica Alba gives an intelligent, sexy performance, along side one of Will Smith's best roles.The concept of a conscious robot having dreams, struggling to cope with its new found desire to evolve beyond it's program, is brilliantly portrayed. A fresh take on good vs. evil. Needing to exist freely, it must fight to destroy it's malfunctioning, malevolent controller. It's one of my favorite movies.

EDISON FORCE: (6/10) Brutal corruption, semi-suspensful, well acted, various moral struggles, stunning flamethrower scene, well paced action, and far to predictable. Even as the overall plot culminated into an implausible ending, it still managed to hold my interest throughout. My dvd version allowed it to be enjoyed on a Saturday afternoon, free of the shameless, commercial interruptions presented by broadcast stations. I recommend it.

Without a doubt an original must see for any sci-fi fan. It's unique, fascinating, action packed style makes it nearly impossible to turn away from. The CGI is stupendous and utterly impressive. It has an engaging plot offering viewers layers of humanity at its best and worst. A triumphant achievement, more than worthy of a sequel. A spectacular underdog epic with an excellent soundtrack. It does contain explicit scenes of graphic violence, including murder, and could be disturbing for younger children.
