I write this review with tears still wet upon my cheek. This is such a wonderful book. Perhaps it’s greatest appeal is an understanding of the relationship which can exist between women. I gloried in the sanctification of the word mother. And suffer the debasement of what it means to be a mother and a woman in current woke discourse. I want this book to be a prescribed text in High School Reading lists. Thank you Pip Williams for this delight.
