Another Hallmark “feel good” movie about a Midwestern man with two motherless children placing an advertisement for a wife, “to make a difference.”
Sarah, played by Meryl Streep, a young woman from Maine, looking for a change herself, answers the ad and after a few postal exchanges, sets off for the untamed west and a new adventure. Upon arriving, she is met by a man and his two children, the youngest being a boy, who takes to Sarah right away and a girl who does not want her mother replaced.
I was very entertained by the hardships and differences that they went through while trying to keep a family together and living in the harsh Midwest.
