I would appreciate it if the weather forecasters on 'Look North' would stick to their job (which is becoming more difficult, judging by the diminishing degree of success they achieve). While I appreciate that banter and raillery are part of that section of the programme, unprompted observations such as "We need the rain" and glib similarities are as uncalled for as they are fatuous. Ask those residents in Lincolnshire whose lives were ruined by floods in June what they think about a similar comment made by a smiling female forecaster which immediately preceded the rains. In England we DO NOT need the rain. It always arrives, and sooner rather than later.
