The series, “you”, is incredible. The way they have structured the series to make you understand joe and his actions is honestly remarkable. You know he’s got some sort of psychological issues yet because his murders have been justified and because of the way he is with children and his general nature, you’re encouraged to like him. I never thought I would ever enjoy a crime series so much. I’ve never necessarily been into crime programmes but this was honestly one of the best series’s I’ve seen. I never thought I would like the main character, knowing that he’s a murderer, but he has valid reasons for each murder and it is so incredible that it makes it all okay because as a character we like joe. It makes psychological issues much easier to understand and makes us actually realise how people that have done things like this might have felt and may have had justified excuses for what they’ve done. Absolutely incredible how they made me love him as a character even though he’s a serial killer. Love, love, love. The fact that his murders seem to be verified is insane. When he kills his victims, it’s almost as if I’m sitting here agreeing with him because of the reasons he gives. When he killed the first character and claimed it was because he was a bad person, I immediately agreed with it. It’s so smart how they have structured the series to make you understand joe’s reasons and almost be in his mind. So clever. Absolutely incredible series. Would highly recommend.
