I think I have a new Christmas movie. I was hesitant to watch The Holdovers because it wasn't available to rent, only buy. It was worth it due to the first sentence. The Holdovers was a nice movie that was as funny and inappropriate as it was heart-warming. I liked that the story kept unfolding, even until the last minutes. It wasn't boring for a second and I was pleasantly surprised. 10/10.

I could be biased because French movies have my heart but Anatomy of a Fall was a great picture. It's not a spoiler to say that throughout the film I definitely thought she did it, but towards the ending I was thinking maybe that's not the point, and then I started thinking maybe she didn't do it. As I write this, I'm still not sure. The acting was believable and I wanted to keep on watching when it ended. It didn't feel long at all. Besides that, getting a look at how the French courtroom procedures are handled was cool and they got great performers to do the deed. 9/10.
