Critics have been exceptionally harsh regarding the adaptation of The Goldfinch.. Not having read the book, I am free to to state that I truly enjoyed the movie.

I loved the series and was even rooting for the assassin, Villanelle. Once she began killing not because it was her job but because she was annoyed, jealous or bored, I lost interest in her character. I think the series would have been improved had there only been three seasons. I'm quite honestly mystified as to Eve's obsession and MI6 allowing a vicious psychopath not be brought to justice.

I liked that show kept one guessing as to motivations, levels of deception, past events, etc. The acting of the two principal characters was particularly nuanced and the relationship believable. The ending left some tantalizing clues and allowed for some open ended interpretation. I thoroughly enjoyed the series!

It is rare for me to rate a show with a five or watch an international show subtitles. Prof. T is the exception. This series is exceptional in every way: production values, scripts, characters, and acting. The series is innovative and immersive with intriguing and well-crafted plots. I particularly enjoyed the depth of characters, their humor and their relationship with each other. A truly enjoyable show that I was sorry to see end after three seasons.
