Let me start with this tidbit: I have 15 hours of playtime and I’m still in the first world. Not because I can’t leave to go in to other planets, But because there are SO MANY things to do. You have your main missions, Side missions, Faction missions, Intel missions, Rejected missions, Not to mention the plethora of mini games/gambling. I’m not a big Ubisoft guy. I used to be but they’ve copy and pasted their formula on almost everything and everything starts to feel like assassins creed. I almost thought at the very beginning that we were getting yet another AC clone, but I’m so glad I was wrong. It’s more prince of Persia than AC. There’s platforming only missions where you have to jump on certain poles and swing timely and not get blown away by vents. The game does NOT point exactly where to go, You get the long horizontal bar up top with various markers but that’s about it, I like they don’t treat you like a dumbed down audience. First time playing a Star Wars game that you’re not a Jedi or have god like powers. The environments so far are varied by locations on the map which is outstanding (and like I said I haven’t even left the first world) There’s so much to do in this game, The battle system works well…Although some enemies are bullet sponges and others go down with 1 good headshot. Your companion is something you’ll grow to love, Ubisoft really outdid themselves with this title. They went from skulls and bones (to date one of the worst games I’ve EVER played, and I’m from the NES era) and avatar which was mid and didn’t pass the 6 hour mark over how pale of an imitation it was to far cry But this? This is amazing. Credit is due where it’s deserved and hats off to you devs! Is it perfect? No. Not by any means. There’s a lot of Jank and graphical hiccups and unfortunately that comes with getting the game early (even before the release date due to the gold edition) The graphics while nice, There’s something about them that makes them seem a bit blurry. I took of film grain and it’s still blurred on the ps5, but it doesn’t take away anything from the game to me. These review sites with 6’s and 7’s have all mentioned that they didn’t have time to play side missions, it’s all based on very few side missions but mostly main quest. I was worried when they said it’s about 20 hours long, but if you’re like me who likes to travel all over, Do all types of missions and go through every Nook and cranny you’ll spend 60 hours + without a doubt and that’s before any dlc drops (first one I believe is November) All in all it’s a great game with a good story, fun characters and even Funner quests. It’s an 8.5/10 to me so far, I can see this reaching the 9 level, not 10 because of jank but once it’s all patched up it can even reach that pinnacle. Sorry it’s so long, just wanted whoever is reading it and is on the fence about buying it, if you like everything I’ve told you then think no more and get it, well worth it. Star Wars fan or not! This is a masterpiece of game! If you’ve played the original Metroid on NES and wish it was remastered or remade or you weren’t around at the time but love well done retro games than this game is 100% for you. Excellent graphics and level design with challenges that are very well done. This game is a beginners Metroid game to me personally and goes hand in hand with super Metroid (Super Metroid is MUCH more difficult) There is one complaint I have which is the audio department, but that’s honestly a small flaw in an overall immersive and beautiful package. This is the first game retro studios made for Nintendo and it shows why they are the masters of metroidvania. 10/10 do yourself a favor and play it

I never give 1 star reviews, But I felt that if I could at least stray one person and save them from a catastrophic wasting of hard earned money, Then I will. The game is live service (let’s start there) the tutorial is the most bare bones (no pun intended) thing I’ve ever been through. The graphics leave A LOT to be desired. To think this was once supposed to be touted as black flag part 2 is disgraceful. The battles are boring, Off the ship it’s wonky, Everything about this game screams budget title with a live service twist (Which makes it 3 times worse) All in all (Trust me on this I have over 3,000 games in a huge collector) this is a waste of space on your shelf or hard drive. I rather play the suicide squad game and that game gets 2 stars from me (don’t get me started) What a letdown of a generation for gaming. The future looks bleak. 1/10 unplayable catastrophe

I’ll start by saying and clarifying this: They TRIED to go for a RogueLIKE mode (not roguelite guys there’s a difference) but failed to capture the spirit and frankly the point of what a roguelike is, I won’t leave the definition of the genre but look up the differences and come back to this and I’ll say to you they did a quarter of what’s required of the genre…Now for the game itself… It’s a funny story and surprisingly strong for a game that doesn’t have much to it other than upgrade cards and press square, L2, and circle. You can press R1 and L1 for your superpowered cards, It has really nice graphics and hasn’t lost any of its charm, But mannn did they fumble the bag with this. I only paid $30 (I feel worse for those who paid $50 for the deluxe) and I kind of knew what to expect and was in for it regardless, But I didn’t expect the worst hit detection I’ve frankly ever seen. The hit box is so shoddy and incorrectly done, The missions aren’t 10 minutes each they are an hour plus long. So make sure when you sit to play you’re ready to get through a long slog of a level they tried to stretch out beyond belief. I’m a huge fan of the obsidian games and knew the changes would come and I was ok with them trying something new, but to find the melee combat so broken and with how much you end up pressing square (trust me it’s A LOT) it feels incredibly rushed and honestly not all that fun. I give props to the devs for the graphics and sound department, the one liners are funny and it has a purpose to its madness, But I can only imagine what it could’ve been had it had more time in the oven and shown a bit more love. I can see why Trey has done absolutely no promotion for this game, It’s 100% not for everyone. I’m not the most hardcore south park fan but I’ve played every single one of the games since the n64 era, If you’re getting this know what to expect. A whopping 5 missions, Each mission is an hour long with no way to save in between, You get to a part of the stage and look around for hidden loot or cards and fight waves upon waves of enemies, Rinse and repeat. It’s disappointing and unfortunately it isn’t even worth the $30. This isn’t it team, get Obsidian back as soon as humanly possible and go back to the rpg roots or South Park games will meet their eventual demise. I hope they add more content to this barebones package! The graphics and story though are fun…There’s the 2 for you. But it’s not a 2 out of 5, it’s a 3 out of 10. Hope this helps!

I honestly came into this title without high expectations, I’ve played all the assasins creed side scrollers and was underwhelmed by each entry, But this..This game is something completely different. You can tell right off the bat when you start that love and care for the property was put into this and it’s not just a simple cash grab based on name sake alone, The combat is fast and fluid with the prince acrobatic moves very much in effect just in a 2D playing field. You don’t start super weak and slow and have to work your way up, You start decent with some knowledge and experience under your belt, And through this HUGE open metroidvania world you discover many Secrets, Trinkets, Add ons (power ups), and so forth. The story is a simple one, I won’t do any spoilers but it’s simple. It’s a bit more eloquent then save the princess but not by much more, The meat of the game here lies in the gameplay department. The graphics are nothing crazy, Early ps4 era visuals on the characters themselves along with terrible lip synching, But the beautiful and lush environments that you traverse along the way, The playing field is really REALLY big. It’s not overly complicated unless you want to find all the secrets and so forth, And all the challenge that prince of Persia brings with platforming, jumps, pole swinging..it’s ALL still here and it works so much better than you think in 2D. Honestly this game is a love letter to fans and deserves nothing by the highest praise especially coming from a publisher which rarely takes risks and usually plays it on the safe side with their titles. If you’re on the fence about it, TRUST me this is 100% worth the asking price of $50. Deluxe edition are cosmetics and 1 power up that is cool but nothing to write home about, The standard version is just fine. If it weren’t for the dated graphics and weird voice/facial animations this would be a 10, As a critic I have to knock it down a point in that department..But apart from cosmetically flawed EVERYTHING else is brimming with life and deserves nothing but the highest praise, Bravo team, Bravo. 9 out of 10 - Magnificent-

This game is SEVERELY underrated. To put it simply: It’s a whole lot of fun. It’s not the next evolution of open world games nor does it claim to be! If you’ve ever played saints row 2 or 3, Or both…Think of this as the spiritual successor to that. More of a back to basics. The graphics, While nice in some areas, Are definetly not the strong point of the title…The strength lies in the gameplay department. The mission structure is easy to understand, hard to master. There’s a ton of variety, Even a larp section (Which I won’t go into detail so it’s not spoiled for you) You have buildings to construct around the city and those buildings require missions to complete, HUGE customization options for both you and your vehicle. Funny dialogue with completely absurd missions that are out of this world. Honestly, don’t listen to the naysayers, Yes it has technical issues but they’ve been patched little by little. It’s honestly a very slept on title! If you enjoy older saints row titles, Grand theft auto of the ps2 era, And want a game that is just amazing in the fun factor department then this is a must have title. If it wasn’t for the technical aspects then this would have a perfect review. 9/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Absolutely and hands down an extensive portrayal into the mind of the man who changed comedy from straight edge Duwoop variety hour into “Filth” Great interviews, Anazing clips, Rare footage…Long story short if you have any interest in the roots of comedy and how it began to become a lot crazier than it was and the innovation of it, And of course if you like George Carlin or want to know the man behind the stage itself then it’s a must watch. Absolutely a 10/10
