The first five seasons of this show were great. It was a perfect balance of drama and comedy and I thoroughly enjoyed the “hope when all seems lost” aspect, and the realistic aspect where everything isn’t magically resolved at the end of an episode and instead possibly took a whole season to work out.
But then season 6 came out, and I almost feel like the writers are intentionally trying to tank the show. Firing Danny Masterson on mere accusations was the worst decision that Netflix could have made - but then again, what can you expect from this “guilty until proven innocent” society? Rooster was a pivotal character on the show and the main source of comedic relief. I got halfway into the season before I couldnt stomach the drama any further. It’s so bleak and depressing that it could give Game of Thrones a run for its money. There’s pretty much no comedy at all anymore - you’re better off watching soap operas. Without Danny, there’s no show.
