Savannah Guthrie is a hypocrite. Her interview with Amber Heard had obvious bias due to her husband's position of being apart of Depp's previous legal counsel. Research how much money the alt right and men's rights pumped into social media and other outlets to dismantle the #metoo movement by discrediting Amber. The evidence in her favor is glaring. People who admitted to seeing the abuse first hand testimony, the tapes of Johnny Depp throwing things under a drunken rage, therapists and nurses notes of abuse, make up artist witnessing bruses, plus the mountains of evidence we couldn't see. At least the UK trial got it right. Did anyone even watch the trial? Two recordings of her miniscule amounts of voilence (probably defending herself) was enough to overshadow his horrible verbal, physical, emotional and sexual abuse? It was enough to question her truth? A false paid diagnosis of borderline personality disorder for openly telling her truth. What a joke! She has a lot of supporters who can't speak out on her behalf right now or they get severe backlash. Just look at what happened to Jason Momoa for trying to stay neutral, Amy Schumer's Gloria Steinem quote, Meghan McCain in the #metoo is dead, and The Santa Clause actor David Krumholtz. Thank goodness there are those willing to step away from the status quo and speak up for what's right. This taped interview of Savannah Guthrie grilling Amber in an accusatory way will always be around and when the truth comes out, because it always does, let's hope Savannah apologizes for her actions. This is going to come back and bite her. The hatred Amber got for just speaking her truth against an abusive drunk is unbelievable. I would have thought Savannah and The Today Show knew better than to join in on this modern day witch hunt. What a step back.
