It's a downgrade. Love the diversity but the way the handled it was just done wrong.
I hate the powers now, every time anyone (white lighter, witch, or demon) used them I cringed, the "magic" got lost for special effects (one sister freezes time but she does nothing to actually freeze she kinda just looks around as everything is still), in the orginal, we all saw their buildup to controlling their powers but here apparently that's thrown out and they know how to do it after a day?
I like that there's a lesbian but the relationship wasn't built up, I don't care that they can't be together because I barely knew about the relationship in the beginning and then the next time I heard about it apparently the girlfriend broke up with the sister after the mom's death but they got back together because the girlfriend was just angry and that's why they broke up(?). I feel like that's a lame excuse to break up with someone after their mom just died in front of them.
Maybe if they didn't try to sell the reboot idea so much and just did their own thing I could tolerate it but every time something happened I compared it with the original and the original was better.
