SPOILER I love the lesson that she realized - that she needed to be the one to save herself - but hate they had to kill off her friend to drive the lesson home :p she could have still learned that lesson by climbing a few 100ft then returning back down. That still would be of her own will, impressive and a huge win after not climbing or leaving the house for a year. But of course, movie drama. I’m not complaining, just a softy and didn’t want to see the friend die :( I loved all the fear and anticipation and courageous climbing though I had all the lights turned on and I was sweating the whole time :) I hate sad endings. Still think it’s pretty epic.
