So many seem to call it nothing but a "bad" sci-fi series, but every single "critic" responsible for the 7% on Rotten Tomatoes cannot have clear memories of, nor gone back and actually watched everyone's classic favourite sci-fi shows at any point in the past couple of decades. You know, back when everything had 20+ episodes in a season, rather than a measly 6 or 10. Bring on season 2! It's just getting to the meat of the story, and I for one want to see if it has what it takes to really sing. Despite it's shortcomings, it certainly held my attention far longer than Nightflyers, or the Lost In Space remake for a start. I only have as much misgivings about this series as I did with The Expanse, and that show turned out to be fantastic. Pity it isn't on Netflix anymore... Another Life is very much a homage to 80s and 90s sci-fi, and something that has been sorely missing from the buffet for far too long.
