This was a really good movie that people probably, and unrealistically, expected too much from. It has strengths, it has weaknesses, and I'm hoping over time people will look back and say, "You know what, that actually wasn't too bad."

An absolute travesty. Why do Warner Brothers keep letting us down? The intro sequence is ludicrous to see a 9 year old best a team of trained Amazon warriors. Instead of character defining challenge leading to some substance providing for a character arc we get a pathetic platitude that we know is going to be regurgitated later. The movie never really got better than that. You know, when you kick human beings around like rag dolls it should probably cause serious injury like broken ribs and sternums. Contrived, insipid and thoughtless pulp. I love super-hero movies but this felt forced, thoughtless and lazy. It did have moments, but mostly was just eye candy. My two stars is generous.
