Too much utterly useless music in this movie. In a 2 hour movie with good pacing and action, there should no room for multiple music montages. Other than too many montages with poor quality music, the actors and story were great. Jessica Chastain is mesmerizing and Guy Pearce shines as a thoroughly rotten scoundrel. Tom Hardy seemed to be too restrained but perhaps that was his character's true nature.
