I laugh, I cry, I clap for joy each and every episode. The lives of the nurses and nuns have become my own as the show weaves through the families of East End London in the 1950's. The important and timely topics are all there: poverty, racism, inequality, and sexism. Each is dealt with great sensitivity as I learn the implications for each.
