Simply beautiful. I wasn't expecting much from this movie besides the stunning visuals. I don't need to speak of the visuals. Although we live in an age of theatrical visuals/graphics(comic book movies, Planet Earth, etc), this movie stands above them all(not crazily above). The plot was NOT subpar. Granted, it was nothing new whatsoever but all military, family, etc movies are no different but still can be good. That's a common problem with reviewers. Just because a plot isn't new, doesn't mean it was not executed right. This movie does just that with the main and sideplots that made it more interesting without the boredom. The only drawback is the length but when you think about it, if one wants to develop characters, it has to take time. It is what it is. Great movie!!
