tldr; the game had potential. But as of today it is just a tool that riot uses to make an insane amount of money. One of the fundamental problems with the game is the fact that past the beginner stage of the game you will only see a very specific pool of champions actually winning the game. So it's not really something to take seriously, and the rating system is flawed as hell. The rating system judges your performance on the actions of 4 other toxic players which is a huge punch in the face.
