I thought all the characters were very real, with the intimacy of song-writing revealing the deeper parts of Billy and Daisy. I thought the formatting of doing a docu-style TV show was really interesting and creative (I did not read the book first). The chemistry and acting between Billy and Daisy is so superb, with an honorable mention to the way Camilla looks and acts towards Billy.
The first couple episodes were slow - I kept asking myself "When are they gonna combine with Daisy?" but the intensity of the last couple of episodes kept me on my toes. The slow build feels very nice in retrospect.
The very very ending feels a little too convenient but I still left the show feeling satisfied - see spoilers section for details.
Overall, I can see myself rewatching this show.

I really did not catch that plot twist of Julia being the interviewer! It felt so sweet and wholesome.
I do think Camilla's death felt convenient. Fans who wanted her and Billy to work it out and stay together were satisfied, but they way they imply Camilla gave her blessing in her dying for Billy and Daisy to be together...and then implying that they reconnect...felt like a cop out to also satisfy Daisy and Billy fans.
