I’m wondering if the screenwriters read the same books I did or if they understood them. One of the hallmarks of Asimov’s clever series was the complete lack of violence. This show revels in violence and inserts as much as possible. Also Asimov’s laws of robotics states that robots can not harm humans through action or inaction but this series has a robot murdering two people! This series uses the very basic premise of the books that the empire is crumbling, which was predicted through psychohistory by Hari Seldon but beyond that really doesn’t resemble the books at all. As a series in its own right, it is ok- not great- but they should have written something on their own rather than ride on Asimov’s coattails. This series is written by someone who doesn’t really understand mathematics. It’s presented more as math-e-magics which as a mathematician I find rather annoying.
