So what was even the point of the baby being added to the plot if itโs not the answer to curing the infection? Thereโs this baby, whose parents were infected, yet itโs born normal. Any sane person would be like โhey that babies immune, letโs study some blood samples and find a cureโ but nope, the thought never crosses their mind. By the end of the movie you discover the baby being born is just for shock value, it adds nothing to the plot, and life on the island goes on as it always had. Also what even was the point of ending the movie like that?? So we get some ending dialogue, Spike narrating his departure letter he sent to his father and we see him cooking food outside. It should have ended there right? Less than 3 minutes left in the movie and they decide to suddenly add in another fight scene and introduce a whole group of characters? The ending felt like I was watching a blooper or a parody of this movie within the movie itself. These characters look so out of place, like theyโre some chav Soundcloud rappers, not survivors.
