Just Trash

So what was even the point of the baby being added to the plot if it’s not the answer to curing the infection? There’s this baby, whose parents were infected, yet it’s born normal. Any sane person would be like “hey that babies immune, let’s study some blood samples and find a cure” but nope, the thought never crosses their mind. By the end of the movie you discover the baby being born is just for shock value, it adds nothing to the plot, and life on the island goes on as it always had. Also what even was the point of ending the movie like that?? So we get some ending dialogue, Spike narrating his departure letter he sent to his father and we see him cooking food outside. It should have ended there right? Less than 3 minutes left in the movie and they decide to suddenly add in another fight scene and introduce a whole group of characters? The ending felt like I was watching a blooper or a parody of this movie within the movie itself. These characters look so out of place, like they’re some chav Soundcloud rappers, not survivors. Ugh, it’s honestly disappointing because they had so much potential, but halfway through the plot just disappeared. The only good part of this movie was the eccentric doctor

The corniest, most cliche movie I ever saw. Nobody was pretty decent, it wasn’t the best movie I ever saw, but it was still very enjoyable. This one however… you would have to pay me to watch it again, I’m so glad I didn’t waste money seeing this in theaters because wow. The dialogue/screenwriting was so corny it made me cringe. This feels more like a parody of the first movie rather than a sequel. In the fight scene against Ledina we see Hutch get overpowered effortlessly within an instant as if he had lost total memory of his combat experience. Also, despite the amount of times we’ve seen him disarm a firearm/weapon, he suddenly forgets how to even though his hands are free and he’s kneeling with a gun pointed to his head point blank. You have to be joking. What a waste of some amazing professional actors, they must have felt so embarrassed acting out these scenes that the screenwriters and scriptwriters dealt them.

It wasn’t the worst, but it was also very forgettable and unremarkable. Had a single good one liner. The sad attempts at humor felt forced and awkward, not to mention the timing was always off. The script writing as a whole wasn’t all that good. For a dinosaur movie, it leaves you wishing the dinosaurs got more screen time or that we saw a bigger variety of mutated creatures.
