This film is amazing! Though creative licenses were taken so that several details were ahistorical, the gospel message and truth of the divinity and humanity of Christ were preserved. Those who are deeply Roman Catholic might find offensive that this more Scripturally grounded portrayal of Mary who would inevitably bear Joseph through obviously inevitable copulative unions their sons James and Jude who are the half-brothers to Jesus. But for believers who are trusting Christ rather than any human dogma that Scripture doesn't affirm, this film that features some amazing music and performances by everyone is an exciting, enjoyable and touching film that is in the vein of a contemporary musical like The Greatest Showman.
