I gave this movie a 3/5 star review for some reasons. First off, some scenes and parts seemed rushed, which is weird because the movie was about 3 hours long. Near the end, I had a lot of trouble telling some tributes apart and some of the events lacked context. It would be very hard for someone to watch this movie without finishing or reading the book. That being said, I think the 3/5 is a good rating. The set was great. It gave a very immersive look into the corrupted world of Panem, especially when Dr. Gaul's office came into view, I really got that impression. The effects in this movie with the snakes are pretty good compared to others. Tom Blyth, who played Coriolanus, portrayed the part perfectly. From the beginning where he's innocent and in love with Lucy Gray to the end *spoiler alert* where he's guilty and turns into his dad, the actor really gave it his all and it was better than I imagined. Once again, I would really recommend reading the book before watching.
