News headlines this morning on cbs this morning: Women and people of color shine at the academy awards... That’s all great and everything but why is that the headline? It’s 2019 we are all Americans and until we stop making our headlines describing what people did according to their race and gender then there will be separation and discrimination. You never hear “a white man won an academy award” as a headline so why specify otherwise. Just doesn’t make any sense to me and very disrespectful in my opinion.
