For the first part of the movie,I had to keep trying to make sense of the nonsense. Is there a supernatural thing going on? Is this going to be a good police drama? But wait, the second half brings things to light. But real people don't act like that. Spoiler alert questions: how can a well lit Airstream trailer go unnoticed in the woods for so long? How is this guy a real cop .?. I am surprised that it got such high reviews from WAY too many people, because basically it is so contrived and manipulative that it ultimately makes no real sense. It's entertaining on one level in that so many moving parts seem to promise something around every corner, and the spooky music won't let you rest even if someone is just driving into the garage. And poor Helen Hunt's face keeps making me think of an alien from Srar Trek Discovery, but in the long run, it feels like I just wasted lot of my brain cells tying up loose ends and absurd plot lines.
