How disappointing that an engaging and well-researched story should be spoiled by the misuse, throughout, of 'sat' for sitting and 'stood' for standing.
I was sat at the table ( who picked her up and sat her there...).
Paul Ware was stood...
Dad was still stood frozen..
Sat at the end of a terrace, the shop had been there since before we were born...
At least 40 examples .
How has this got past a proof reader/ publisher ?
