Weird how all the negative reviews are copy/paste of the same thing. I thought this was easily the best movie I saw in 2023. Almost unbearably intense and anxiety-inducing. And for an end-of-the-world scenario, it was realistic in a way that I have not seen before. This feels like something that could actually happen - and reactions of the characters were uncomfortably familiar. The movie refuses to follow conventional tropes and cliché's - while subverting and playing with the audience's expectations. If you just want an apocalyptic action flick, go watch Independence Day again. This movie is far more challenging and disturbing.
