I usually have a really low threshold for bad movies but this isn’t Sharknado level- so bad it’s phenomenal. This is really such an awful movie I can’t believe they released it. It’s like the actors were directing themselves. The acting is so bad it’s weird. And there are proper actors here as well. It’s just... ugh... don’t bother.

I started watching this right after the Mayfair Witches. Thank the dark gods this is something else. My favourite books. Re told and yes retconned perhaps. But beautiful.

Everyone reading these reviews desperately wanted this series to be sublime- I expect. And my god there are moments where it rings true with the books. But they are so few. I am watching it all addictively because -Lasher my Lasher. The series breaks my heart. For every reason everyone else has written on these reviews. And Lasher! He is so not sublime and enchanting and childlike and godlike and all of that. What a heartbreaking failure. I will watch til the end but they’ve also remade Lestat. I don’t know if I can watch the most beautiful book destroyed again. Not after this.
