What a strange movie. And not in a good way. Let’s start off with the acting, from the get go it was just terrible. At some points their acting seems more to me like a spoof movie portraying an actual drama/thriller movie. These parents don’t seem completely freaked out and worried about their daughter missing. The father seems more concerned about looking at naked pictures of the next door woman and watching her and her husband have sex, and then after trying to have sex with his own wife. Like come on. If that was an actual father with a missing daughter all that would be completely irrelevant. And the mother got more emotional when she started yelling at her husband about his cheating years ago. They almost have zero concerns about their daughter missing. Just strange. Now let’s talk about certain parts of the movie that just make absolutely no sense to me. I think the missing convict aspect is so unnecessary. They mention the convict, there’s a short clip of him killing a woman with his knife, and then it just randomly jumps to the mother killing him at his camp sight, and that’s it. And not to mention the placement of the gun shot wound was on top of his head, and it clearly showed her shooting him directly in the face. I could go on and on. There’s just so many plot holes and bad acting it just makes for an awful movie. Don’t watch it. I’m surprised it’s #8 for movies right now on Netflix.
