Embarrassment to the original Avatar story. Was so hopeful and immensely disappointed. Horrible cast selection and bastardization of storyline. My daughter grew up with Avatar and we watched it together, another enormous fail to recreate the magic of an epic tale. P.S. After reading all the 4 star reviews, it feels like many reviewers have been paid by Netflix to support the show. Even if I had not seen the original series, it is a hot mess of poor acting and incoherent events that I doubt would elicit such rave reviews. Netflix, you give yourself away with the paid reviews when the show is nearly unbearable to watch. As with Star Wars(Disney example) & Witcher, perhaps listen to us “nerds” as to the needed direction of the show to make it successful.
