Taylor never disappoints, be it a country album with her curls and red lipstick, boots or a complete genre- shift discovering pop with short hair, a new style and a tight little skirt, a completely dark album exploring hip hop. I feel 'Lover' is an album that is just meant to have fun with, it explores romance in a tongue-in-cheek manner as done with 'London Boy' and 'Paper Rings'. It just talks about love and spreads no hate. I'm glad Taylor expresses her political views with songs like 'Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince', 'You Need To Calm Down' and 'The Man.' Despite all the romantic songs on Lover, you still have songs like - 'Death By A Thousand Cuts' and 'Cruel Summer' which express pain. She uses incredible imagery in 'Cornelia Street' and is a metaphorical, lyrical genius. No wonder she's called an amazing songwriter. I love how she stands up for the LGBTQ+ Community. The Lover Era, explores through new colors and aesthetics and is just brilliantly written.
