Coming from a lifelong National Treasure fan I had high hopes for this series. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed. The only thing close to the original films was a few previous cast members (Riley Pool, Peter Sandusky, Agent Hendricks) and a rendition of the original soundtrack. While it was a fun concept with some interesting moments I just couldn’t get past the predicable plot, poor writing, and the terrible acting. It honestly seemed like a better live version of Dora The Explorer. Disney dropped the ball on this one. It’s rumored Nicholas Cage will appear in season 2 so I will hope for redemption. I won’t hold my breath though.
