Cliche. Wrought with plot holes. This is lazy story writing at its finest. Big studios attempting to cash in big on previous success and not even making an effort to write a believable or good story. This entire movie is a classic case of "because it looks cool" the writers and directors had an idea and said... "Put it in the movie!". No one stopped to consider whether or not it makes sense. When did film making stop being art?
It took around 5 minutes for me to realise this was going to be terrible. The opening sequence follows an elite and focused warrior (child) who is competing in a tournament race. She leads the pack, flipping over obstacles, sliding under moving pendulums. Shooting an arrow at a target the size of a spoon, from 50 meters away, on horse back, while the horse is jumping off a cliff. It's a super hero movie so I thought 'epic'. I'm in. Then suddenly... She was knocked of her horse by a tree branch, conveniently at the exact moment she turned to look at her opponents. Then she hops on a slide that conveniently was exactly where she fell off to race down the hill and be the first to finish. Seriously? That's the trope you chose? And it only gets worse. The whole plot is predictable and shamelessly flaunts how lazy the writing was. This was the worst movie I've seen all year. Do not recommend.
