I read this so long ago that I can't even tell you when, But let's say early 70's, when pretty much all I read was Science Fiction, and then one day I stumble across one of his "alternate fiction" stories, and I was hooked.
His "Dangerous Visions" anthologies changed the way I looked at the world.
