This is one of my favorites and I watch it whenever I can.
One point about the laundry facilities. Most homes in Michigan have basements, and that is where a washer and dryer would go. Because of budgets, Keith and Evan only put in the basic kitchen facilities, so they seldom include a dishwasher. This is also due to the kitchens not being built big enough for dishwashers in the 40s when most were built. I am guessing the basements would have hookups for washers and dryers to be added later.
Like many of the other commenters, I am tired of the California shows with renovators adding hundreds of thousands of $$ to their homes and selling them for well over a million. This might work in CA, but in Michigan and other states in the Midwest, you can buy a lot of house for a third of what you would pay in CA.
