shouldn't have been marked a horror movie- more a drama/ suspense in my opinion. the horror aspects of this movie aren't traditionally scary enough to satisfy average horror movie watchers, and the true horror, the marriage story that suffocates the main character, is too subtle to be marked horror.
its not a traditional horror, rather, it is a beautiful movie with supernatural aspects that ties together art history, ideas of justice, rebirth, and fate. I thought George's character could have been a bit better fleshed out, as his typical sexist, viewing women as objects persona was a bit too cliched. he was horrible from the beginning, even before he met Catherine. the way in which the character is interesting but could do with a bit more complexity. I personally loved this movie, it was a bit slow, but was really good in my opinion.
