I give the movie 3 out of 5 stars. I don't think there was enough character development about Harriet as a young girl. It was a little fast paced in the beginning. I was confused at how well EVERYONE could read?? It was the 1800s sooo it was a bit surprising. She navigated a little too well, I'm certain she ran into some trouble but in the film she just ended up in Philadelphia I guess. ***THERE IS NO WHITE SAVIOR*** GO see this movie if you're apprehensive about it. Erivo did a good job. Clemmons delivered a good film but it could've been better. I'm ADOS if you're wondering and it was worth watching.
