As a fan of the books that inspired this show, I have looked forward to it coming out. The novels do an impressive job of character development and description. The Netflix adaptation does not follow basic character description....except for the title character, the Witcher. Why? Why would they cast a character who's main attribute in the books is their Auburn hair, which makes them recognized by everybody, as a brunette in the show? This is just one example of deviating from the source material for no apparent reason. I think for a fantasy novel adaptation it is really important to follow the material as closely as possible.
