I love this movie. Naive yet a wonderful portrayal of the viewpoint of 1942. I saw it as a child in the 1960’s and loved it. Now in 2021 at 63 years I look beyond the historic filmography to hear the deep messages that resonate still - same as my 13 year old heartfelt self when I first saw it. Allow yourself to dream into both the 1890 storybook by Rudyard Kipling and the first film interpretation which resonates today about the wild in us vs the civilised onus. Splendid Mowgli!
