I thought this was produced really well. Evan Rachel Wood told her story honestly and acknowledged her childhood trauma as part of this process.
As I have experienced domestic abuse in my early twenties and recent narcissistic abuse, which has taken me three and half years to process and start rebuilding my life. I can wholeheartedly appreciate the trauma of the relationship, leaving the relationship and trying to rebuild her life and I respect her bravery.
I too have had to strip myself right back and revisit my earliest memories and belief patterns to begin again.
From some of the other comments on here that say they don’t believe her. I don’t think it is anyone else’s business quite frankly whether they believe her or not. I would like to ask these people if they had been through any trauma to make such judgements.
We live in a society where narcissistic abuse is on the rise. Love bombing, gaslighting and breadcrumbing have become normative terms for modern day dating and friendship.
Violence against women is a huge problem. Thank you for this documentary and I hope it brings more awareness of these issues and offers the healing to Evan Rachel Wood.
