The costume, including the hair and makeup, is exceptional and arguably one of the best I have ever encountered in Chinese dramas. The plot was intriguing, albeit with some shortcomings. The initial half of the drama featured prominent actors, but the latter half, particularly the final six episodes, faltered. The storyline became excessively convoluted, introducing an excessive amount of drama, misunderstandings, and malevolent schemes that rendered it unrealistic. While the romantic scenes between the lead actors were enjoyable and added depth to the narrative, the character development was lacking. Overall, the series is not entirely disappointing, but significant improvements could have been made in the writing.
