I’m a huge fan of sci-fi, apocalyptic, and similar types of movies, so I was excited to watch this one. The first half absolutely amazed me—it was a 10/10 experience. The storytelling, the emotional depth, and the way the characters connected through long-distance communication were so compelling that they could have made an entire movie just about that part, and I would have happily watched it. The writing and the tension during this section were fantastic.
Overall, I’d rate the movie a 7/10. The second half, where most of the action takes place, was still good. The action sequences were well-executed, the monster designs were impressive, and the pacing kept me engaged. However, I felt like something was missing. For example, in the gorge scene, they could have added something truly breathtaking or awe-inspiring to elevate the experience. While the visuals and setting were good, I think they missed an opportunity to capture more stunning, poetic shots of the environment to make it even more memorable.
I wasn’t disappointed, but I wanted more—something spectacular that would leave me thinking, “Wow, that was incredible!” Nevertheless, I highly recommend this movie to others. It’s a solid film with a lot to offer, especially for fans of the genre.
