I’ve listened to Abel’s album with the same title. Walking into the movie, I didn’t plan it out or even intend to go in, but I knew this movie was in production and coming out, so I surprised myself by checking it out. The start had some good humor, the story was clear, and the acting was decent. There were a few emotional moments, and the crying scenes were spot on. I caught all the album references, which I appreciated. That said, they probably could’ve toned down the F slurs a bit, though it did add to the movie’s vibe in its own way.
Overall, I thought it was a decent, pretty good movie. I understand both the love and the hate it’s getting.
