When I first viewed THE JUDGE, I had a strong aspiration to attend law school. I passed on it, even though, I was fully funded for that aspiration. Watching it again just now, I see it in a new light. This isn't so much about the judge, but more about family and how important family is, period. Good times, bad times, confusing times, times of mourning a parent, mourning and pontificating mutual pasts as siblings, promises made & promises kept, come what, in dynamics some comprehend and/or others who don't with opposing points of view, boundaries, the fog of chemotherapy and music that is carefully crafted to blend the total storyline. Clever, exquisitely casted with genius actors synchronized by dialogue in a town setting filled with class warfare even at the local waterhole. Great script and great delivery by Downey Jr etc. Nuff said. Watch it and take notes on the human condition. ๐บ๐ธ๐๐๐บ๐ธ
